Over the past few years, Arturo Islas Allende has not only become a beloved voice in wildlife conservation across Latin America, but also a cherished partner and advocate within our East African travel family. At Back to the Source Tours, we are proud and honored to have worked side by side with Arturo and his team, from orchestrating wildlife filmmaking safaris in the heart of East Africa to producing the widely celebrated children’s conservation series, SíMiPlaneta: Arturo y Su Pandilla, across Uganda and Kenya.

These unforgettable journeys weren’t just about filming wildlife, they were about building bridges between cultures, uplifting local voices, and sharing conservation messages that transcend language and borders. Whether tracking lions in the savanna, filming gorillas in Bwindi, or capturing Maasai-led community stories, every moment was grounded in mutual respect, purposeful storytelling, and sustainable travel practices that directly benefit the local communities we serve.

Now, as Arturo opens the door for others to join in on these powerful experiences, we are excited to offer a select series of hosted group trips where travelers can follow in the footsteps of his journey. After the success of his November 2025 expedition, we have now officially released the 2026 hosted tour dates for October, November, and December, and these departures are open for booking.

These hosted safaris go far beyond tourism, they are a rare opportunity to connect deeply with nature, meet the conservation heroes protecting it, and experience East Africa through purpose, education, and real-world impact.
