A haven of comfort and serenity, Tilenga Safari Lodge is set on the northern park boundaries of Murchison Falls National Park. It is located in one of the most breathtaking parts of Uganda just 1.7km away from Tangi gate on the main Karuma-Pakwach road. One has to watch out for its signpost a few kilometers before the Pakwach Bridge to not miss the magnificence of a place that looks out on the majestic Albert Nile.
They feature 13 elegant guest cottages and 2 luxury tents. The River Nile and the park are the main focus from an architect’s perspective, and so all the cottages and luxury tents have balconies and terraces facing the magnificent sweeping views.

About Tilenga Safari Lodge
Tilenga’s rooftop terrace is the perfect spot for your sundowner drink. After enjoying the breathtaking views of the Albert Nile, guests descend towards our restaurant where a fine 4-course dinner awaits you.
They bake their own bread and as fresh supplies are hard to find in the area, they bring some of their goods from Kampala. Tilenga has started their own vegetable garden and have planted plenty of fruit trees going from citrus, mango and pawpaw to jackfruit, passion and avocado trees.
Although Tilenga has several solar fridges and freezers they have a limited stock and therefore do not work a la carte but have a fixed menu instead. We kindly ask you to let us know in time if you have any dietary requirement so that they can cater for your request.
TIlenga’s breakfast, lunch and dinner have flexible times. They will adapt to your time schedule; nothing too early, nothing too late!
Dining in their restaurant is a unique experience where modern interior décor blends with the safari feel.
For those who like dining outdoors, the terrace is a scenic setting with spectacular panoramic views across the River Nile. After dining, the bar is right next door to the restaurant and is the perfect setting for a nightcap or aperitif!
There is ample space for you to relax and unwind – with a bit of support from the fully stocked bar! The furniture and interior reflects a unique fusion of modern and ‘Safari’ style décor.
